Maha Kumbh 2025: Uttar Pradesh government sanctions projects worth Rs 6,000 crores
Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh): The Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned projects worth as much as Rs. 6000 crores for the Kumbh Mela 2025, said reports on Tuesday.
According to reports, the Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh told ANI that, “The state government has been preparing for Maha Kumbh 2025 for the last year. The state government has sanctioned projects worth Rs 6,000 crores. Some of these are from the Maha Kumbh budget and some are from the departmental budget.”
Further the Chief Secretary said that, “the projects are being implemented and they are in their last stage… Security is a big issue this time. So, appropriate arrangements are being made for cyber and physical security…” The arrangements shall be completed by December 30.
“The complete fair will be plastic-free… Districts around Prayagraj, such as the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in Varanasi and the corridor of Maa Vindhyavasini in Vindhyachal in Mirzapur have been developed, ”
A large number of devotees are expected to visit these places, hence the administration of these important districts in the vicinity have been told to be well prepared.
