Life thrown out of gear in Mumbai following torrential rains, high tides expected

Mumbai: Life has been disrupted and people have been stranded at various locations following heavy rain in Mumbai, said reports on Thursday. Water logging was witnessed at the Andheri Railway Station after the city witnessed severe downpour and traffic snarls followed by continous rainfall.

According to reports high tides were expected in the Arabian sea, a warning was issued in this regard. As per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai is likely to experience a ‘generally cloudy sky with heavy rain’ on Thursday also.

Further it is worth mentioning that according to latest reports, all local trains are running normally. On the main line trains are 3-4 minutes behind schedule because of rescheduled mail express movements and a few cautions, the Central railway CPRO confirmed.

The bus services continued despite the city being affected by torrential rains last evening. Rain is likely to continue for the entire day in the city.
