K Chandrasekhar Rao takes oath as Telangana CM

Hyderabad:  Telangana Rastra Samiti (TRS) President K Chandrasekhar Rao, popularly known as KCR, took oath as the Chief Minister of Telangana here on Thursday.

Besides Rao, Mohammad Mohamood Ali also sworn in as a minister of the new government. Governor ESL Narasimhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to both the ministers.

KCR took the oath of office and secrecy in the name of the God in Telugu while Ali took oath in Urdu in the name of Allah.

This is the second time that KCR became the Chief Minister of the youngest state of the country, after his party recorded a thumping win in the Assembly elections.

The TRS won 88 seats of the 119-seat State Assembly.
