J&K: 2 LeT terrorists killed in Budgam encounter

Srinagar: Two LeT terrorists were killed in a gunfight with the security forces in Wathoora Chittergam Nowgam area in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday morning.

Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition have been recovered from the militants at the site of encounter.

Security sources said that a joint team of security forces launched cordon and search operation following specific input about presence of terrorists in the area.

They said as the forces zeroed in on the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon forces triggering an encounter.

Yesterday, two soldiers and one terrorist were killed in an encounter in Pulwana. The martyred soldiers have been identified as Havaldar Baljeet of 55 Rashtriya Rifles and Naik Saneed of 10 Para.
