ISRO Releases Pictures of Earth As Captured by Chandrayaan 2

New Delhi: On Sunday the Indian Space Research Organisation released the first set of pictures clicked by Chandyaraan 2. ISRO released the pictures in a series of tweets.

The pictures of earth captured from space were taken by the L4 Camera on Vikram-The lander on Chandrayaan 2. ISRO informed that the pictures were taken on August 3, 2019.

Earlier on August 2, ISRO tweeted about Chandrayaan 2’s fourth orbit-raising manoeuvre. The tweet read “#Chandrayaan2 Today marks the successful completion of the fourth orbit-raising manoeuvre. The last Earthbound manoeuvre is planned on August 6, 2019 #ISRO”.

The Spacecraft was launched on July 22 from the spaceport in Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota. It is expected to land on September 7. So far, all the post-launching activities have been successful.
