New Delhi: Taking a tough stand against Pakistan’s pressure tactics in the aftermath of repealing of Article 370 and 35 A in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, India made it clear that invoking alarming vision will certainly not work.

Telling Pakistan to revisit the decision of downgrading its diplomatic ties, Indian foreign ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar made it clear that, the decision on special status to Jammu and Kashmir is an “internal matter” of India to guarantee development in the region.

“The Constitution of India was, is and will always be a sovereign matter. Seeking to interfere in that jurisdiction by invoking an alarmist vision of the region will never succeed,” said Kumar.

Notably, Pakistan yesterday announced a slew of measures including expulsion of the Indian envoy, suspension of bilateral trade, and review of bilateral arrangements and closure of at least three air spaces for Indian aircrafts.
