Indian Army Cheetah helicopter crashes in Bhutan, two killed
New Delhi: An Indian Army Cheetah helicopter crashed near Yonphulla in Bhutan on Friday afternoon, reported news agency ANI. Both the pilots on board lost their lives.
The deceased pilots include a captain from the Royal Bhutan Army and a Lieutenant Colonel of the Army Aviation Corps. The Bhutanese Army pilot was training with the Indian Army, sources said.
The incident took place around 1 PM Indian Standard Time. Army sources said the helicopter had taken off from Khirmu in Arunachal Pradesh and was headed towards Yonphulla with two pilots on board.
