India Secured A Place Of Pride & Glory In The World: PM Modi On ‘Mann Ki Baat’

New Delhi: Addressing the nation on the 51st edition of his radio show ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India secured a place of pride & glory in the entire world. The highest United Nations Environment Award ‘Champions of the Earth’ was conferred upon India and the country clinched a large number of medals in Asian Games and performed very well in Para Asian Games too.

Extending New Years’ greetings to countrymen, PM Modi spoke about the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela, which is all set to start from January 15.

“Kumbh Mela is beginning from Jan 15 in Prayagraj. Kumbh is huge as well as divine. UNESCO listed Kumbh in Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity last year,” PM Modi said.

Remarking that the year 2018 was a phenomenal one for the countrymen, Modi said 2018 saw launching of world’s biggest health insurance scheme ‘Ayushman Bharat’. Also, Electricity reached each & every village of the country this year.

The PM also hailed the first ever celebration of the 75th anniversary of Azad Hind Government, which was commemorated with a flag hoisting ceremony at Delhi’s historic Red Fort.

PM Modi also informed that top world’s rated agencies have accepted that India is pulling its people out of poverty.

Mann Ki Baat is a monthly radio show hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he addresses the people of the nation on All India Radio, DD National and DD News.

In its previous episodes, he has covered issues of social, national as well as international implication: education of the girl child, tackling exam stress, climate change and drug menace.
