India reports 48,786 fresh Covid cases & 1,005 deaths in last 24 hours

New Delhi: India reported 48,786 fresh coronavirus cases, according to the data released by Union Health Ministry on Thursday taking the tally to 3,04,11,634.

A total of 1,005 people died of Covid in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s death toll to 3,99,459 so far.

A total of 61,588 patients recovered in the same time span, taking the number of recoveries to 2,94,88,918. The recovery rate stands at 96.97%. The daily active caseload declines to 5,23,257 in last 24 hours.

As of now, a total of 33.57 crore citizens of the country have been vaccinated, said reports.

The total number of samples tested up to June 30 is 41,20,21,494 including 19,21,450 samples tested on Wednesday, informed Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
