New Delhi: India registered 30,941 daily Covid cases in the last 24 hours, said the Covid bulletin released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday. Kerala alone recorded 19,622 fresh Covid positives in last 24 hours.
The death toll due to Covid in the country stands at 4,38,560 currently including 350 deaths in last 24 hours. Out of the total reported Covid deaths today, 132 patients succumbed to the deadly virus in Kerala.
As many as 36,275 patients recovered in the country which took the total recoveries to 3,19,59,680. India has achieved the recovery rate of 97.53 per cent.
The active caseload currently stands at 3,70,640 which constitute 1.13 per cent of total cases, as per the bulletin released by the health ministry.
The weekly positivity rate remains below 3 per cent and is currently at 2.51 per cent. The daily positivity rate currently stands at 2.22 per cent.
Meanwhile, a total of 64,05,28,644 doses of Covid vaccines have been jabbed, said the bulletin released by the ministry.
As many as 52,15,41,098 samples have been collected up-to August 30 including 13,64,573 samples in the last 24 hours, informed ICMR.
