New-Delhi: India reported a marginal decline in Covid-19 cases on Friday. A total of 17,070 cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the data by the Union Ministry of Health.
While the active cases were increased by 2,634. Currently, the active case count stands at 1,07,189.
India reported 23 deaths and 14,413 recoveries in 24 hours. So far 5,25,139 people have died due to coronavirus while 4.28 crore has recovered from the disease.
The daily positivity rate stands at 3.40% and the weekly positivity rate is at 3.59%.
Also in the same period, a total of 5,02,150 tests were conducted across the country, increasing the overall tally to over 86.28 crore.
As of Friday morning, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 197.74 crore, achieved via 2,57,61,312 sessions.
Over 3.67 crore adolescents have been administered with a first dose of Covid-19 jab since the beginning of vaccination drive for this age bracket.
