New-Delhi: India on Friday registered 2,528 fresh Covid-19 infections in last 24 hours, said Union Health ministry.
In the same period, 149 deaths have also been reported, taking the total number of deaths to 5,16,281.
Active cases constitute 0.07 per cent of the country’s total positive cases.
A total of 3,997 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic is now at 4,24,58,543.Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.73 per cent.
Also in the same period, a total of 6,33 ,867 tests were conducted across the country. India has so far conducted over 78.18 crore cumulative tests.
