India Receives 318 Oxygen Concentrators From United States

New Delhi:  As many as 318 oxygen concentrators have arrived at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi of India from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York by Air India flight today.

The wide-bodied passenger aircraft operated non-stop for over 15 hours.

Similarly, Australia is likely to send oxygen, ventilators, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to India as part of immediate support package to the country.

It is noteworthy that various hospitals across the country continue to struggle with a severe shortage of medical oxygen.

India is struggling with a second wave of the pandemic with more than 3,00,000 daily new coronavirus cases being reported in the past few days.

According to the reports of the Health Ministry, active cases in India crossed 28-lakh mark, with 3,52,991 people testing positive for coronavirus infection in last 24 hours whereas the death count rose to 1,95,123 with a record of 2,812 fatalities.
