India Covid: Kerala logs 29,836 Covid-19 cases, 75 deaths

New Delhi: India registered 42,909 daily Covid cases in the last 24 hours, said the Covid bulletin released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday. Kerala alone recorded 29,836 fresh Covid positives in last 24 hours.

The death toll due to Covid in the country stands at 4,38,210 currently including 380 deaths in last 24 hours. Out of the total reported Covid deaths today, 75 patients succumbed to the deadly virus in Kerala.

As many as 34,763 patients recovered in the country which took the total recoveries to 3,19,23,405. India has achieved the recovery rate of 97.51 per cent.

The active caseload currently stands at 3,76,324 which constitute 1.15 per cent of total cases, as per the bulletin released by the health ministry.

The weekly positivity rate remains below 3 per cent and is currently at 2.41 per cent. The daily positivity rate currently stands at 3.02 per cent.

Meanwhile, a total of 63.43 crore doses of Covid vaccines have been jabbed, said the bulletin released by the ministry.

As many as 52,01,46,525 samples have been collected up-to August 29 including 14,19,990 samples in the last 24 hours, informed ICMR.
