Huge cache of arms and Rs 50,000 cash recovered in Maharashtra, 1 arrested

Chembur: In a major success to Mumbai RCF Police, a man has been arrested for possession of huge cache of arms and Rs 50,000 cash in Maharashtra on Friday.

According to reports, the team of Mumbai RCF Police Station arrested a man from Chembur area and recovered two country-made pistols, eight live cartridges and Rs 50,000 in cash.

Further, the accused has been identified as Angad Singh from Uttar Pradesh. From initial investigation it was revealed that he was allegedly coming to Mumbai to supply weapons.

A case has been registered under the Arms Act in this regard. He will be produced in court today and further detailed investigation is still underway, the Mumbai Police said.
