Gurugram building collapse: Haryana govt announces ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh 

Gurugram: The Haryana Government on Tuesday had announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh each for the casualties who lost their lives after a three-story building collapsed in Gurugram on Sunday. Also, financial assistance of ₹1 lakh will be given for those who got injured in the incidents.

According to the report, the building had collapsed in Gurugram’s in Farrukhnagar block on Sunday at around 7 pm, the police official said. One person had succumbed after a three-story building had collapsed in Gurugram’s Khawaspur area. Another person has been rescued and then sent to the hospital for treatment. Two persons are feared dead.

When the building was collapsed most of the people were out for dinner. Rajiv Deswal,, the deputy commissioner of police (crime), on Sunday said that the police teams had reached the spot as soon as they received information. The information was disseminated through the security guards deployed in the area. The official added that ambulances, fire tenders, earthmovers, and JCB machines were deployed for rescue operations.
