Mumbai: Owner of the Adani group, Gautam Adani has surpassed Mukesh Ambani and has become Asia’s richest person.
According to the reports, Adani’s net worth increased drastically since April 2020. He added $55 billion to his fortunes in 2021 compared to $14.3 billion added by Mukesh Ambani.
According to experts, the stock of Adani’s companies has skyrocketed including companies like Adani Total Gas, Adani Ports and Adani Green.
Earlier, the Bloomberg Billionaire Index had suggested that Adani’s current net worth is USD 88.8 billion which is just USD 2.2 billion less than the net worth of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani.
In the previous month, Ambani’s total net worth was $101 billion. Adani Group chairman’s total net worth stood at $73.3 billion.
Among the other prominent Indian names in the billionaires’ index are Wipro chairman Azim Premji (34th place), HCL founder Shiv Nadar (54th place) and D-Mart founder Radhakishan Damani (64th place).
