Ganja worth Rs 3 Cr seized while being transported from Odisha

Nagpur: In a major breakthrough, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials of Maharashtra’s Nagpur district, seized ganja worth Rs 3 crore today.

Acting on a specific information Nagpur regional unit of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence sleuths intercepted a truck carrying 2000 kgs /2 tonnes of ganja valued more than Rs 3 crore in naxal infested Bastar region of Chattisgarh.

Three persons including most wanted kingpin of ganja smuggling have been arrested. They are now being interrogated by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials.

Sources said that the contraband was being transported from Odisha’s Malkangiri district.
