New Delhi: The former Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh has resigned from Congress party a few minutes ago, said reports. Singh has reportedly sent a seven-page letter to party President  Sonia Gandhi.

On the other hand the former CM has reportedly announced a new political party named ‘Punjab Lok Congress.’

The registration is pending approval with the Election Commission of India. The party symbol will be approved later,” Amarinder Singh informed in a tweet.
