New-Delhi: For the first time in 75 years, the Republic day parade will not begin at the scheduled time that is 10 am, but will be delayed by 30 minutes

The reason for the delay is due to Covid restrictions and homage is being to paid Jammu and Kashmir security personnel.

This year Republic Day parade will start at 10.30 am. The delay is caused due to Covid-19 related restrictions and before the parade will begin, homage will be paid to the security personnel who lost their life in Jammu and Kashmir, informed a senior official.

Tableaus will showcase cultural diversity, social and economic progress during the parade. The tableaus will go to the Red Fort and will be parked over there for public display, informed the official.

The artists performing in the cultural events on the Republic Day will not be allowed to meet anyone due to Covid-19 related restrictions. They will be isolated and will be travelling in sanitised vehicles, so that they do not contract to the virus.
