Fire At Prayagraj Kumbh Mela After Suspected Cylinder Blast

Prayagraj/Allahabad: Fire broke out at a camp set up for the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Monday afternoon. Several tents were charred due to the fire which was quickly brought under control. Nobody was killed or injured in the fire.

A cylinder blast is being suspected to be the cause of the fire. The fire mishap took place in a tent camp set up by the Digambar Akhada in Sector 16 of Prayagraj. After being informed about the incident, Fire Servicemen reached the spot and quickly brought the fire under control.

A superintendent of police, who is in charge of security operations at the Kumbh Mela, confirmed that there were no casualties in the Kumbh Mela camp fire. The policeman also told reporters that the fire had been contained.

The Prayagraj Kumbh Mela is all set to start tomorrow.
