EPFO Update: Date for linking Aadhaar with UAN extended, know how to link by sitting at home

Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has given relief to the EPF account holders as it has extended the deadline for linking Universal Account Number (UAN) with Aadhaar till December 31, 2021 for North-East establishments and certain special class establishments.

The EPFO gave this information through its official Twitter handle.

Earlier, the deadline to link UAN with Aadhaar number was September 1, 2021. However, if you do not link EPFO ​​and Aadhaar number by December 31, then the contribution coming from the company in your EPF account will be stopped. With this, you may also face difficulty in withdrawing your EPF money.

Know how to link Aadhaar with UAN

To link your Aadhaar number to your PF account, you must first go to the EPFO ​​website www.epfindia.gov.in. After this you have to click on Online Services >> e-KYC Portal >> link UAN aadhar. After this, you have to submit your UAN number and register mobile number in UAN account.

In the next step, an OTP will be sent to your phone number. Submit this OTP in the section of the website. After this, you have to submit your Aadhaar number. After this, you will have to click on Proceed to OTP verification. To verify your Aadhaar details, you will have to generate OTP on your Aadhaar linked mobile number or mail. After verification, your Aadhaar number will be linked to your EPF account.
