Eight shops burns down due to massive fire in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bufliaz market
Eight shops were completely burned and reduced to ashes after a massive fire broke out in Pooch district of Jammu and Kashmir
Srinagar: Eight shops were completely burned and reduced to ashes after a massive fire broke out in Pooch district of Jammu and Kashmir early morning, today.
The incident took place at Bufliaz market which caused extensive fire and damaging properties and everything else of the shops that came under fire’s influence.
The shops that were burned in the incident were all lined up in a row and made up of wood and tin.
Following the incident, the army and CRPF personnel took an initiative to douse of the fire by using buckets of water and fire extinguishers. Later, fire services joined in for the fire control operation.
After initial investigation it was suggested that the fire might have caused due to short circuit in one of the shops of the area.
The affected shops owners allegedly complained that as the firefighters delayed to reach the spot on time, the fire spread rapidly and caused damage to more property and shops.
This incident has left many households without their primary source of income and is demanding compensation from the government for the loss that they have faced.
