According to the NCS, the earthquake occurred at 01:30 hours IST at a depth of 10 kilometres.
“EQ of M: 3.5, On: 10/01/2026 13:30:31 IST, Lat: 26.99 N, Long: 93.85 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Lakhimpur, Assam,” post added on X.
This comes days after an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck Morigaon district in Assam early this week, highlighting the region’s seismic activity.
