Earthquake Of 4.8 Magnitude Rocks Andaman Islands
Port Blair: A moderate earthquake of 4.8magnitude hit the Andaman Islands on Monday morning, informed the Indian Meteorological Department. The depth of the earthquake was 95 km.
As per reports, the tremors were felt at 6:44 am. No casualty or damage to property has been reported so far. Further details are awaited.
The IMD tweeted, “Earthquake of Magnitude:4.8, Occurred on:11-03-2019,06:44:30 IST, Lat:11.9 N & Long: 93.6 E, Depth: 95 Km Region:Andaman Islands Region.”

Notably, a mild earthquake of 4.5 magnitude had hit the Andaman islands last month.
