DMK Supremo M. Karunanidhi Hospitalised Due To Blood Pressure Issues

Chennai: DMK head and former CM of Tamil Nadu M. Karunanidhi was admitted to the Kauvery Hospital at Alwarpet after his health conditions deteriorated following a drop in blood pressure level past midnight on July 28.
Hospital authorities have clarified that his condition is stable now and he has been kept in the ICU for better observation. A team of expert doctors are closely monitoring his health conditions and he is out of danger now.
The 94-year-old politician has been suffering from fever and infection since the last couple of days and was undergoing treatment at his residence in Gopalapuram locality of Chennai. After getting the news of Karunanidhi’s ailing health, hundreds of his worried supporters had gathered outside Kauvery Hospital in Chennai.
PM Narendra Modi has wished Karunanidhi a speedy recovery. In a tweet, the Prime Minister wrote-

Born in 1924, M Karunanidhi became the CM of Tamil Nadu for the fifth time in 2006. He is also known for his writings in the Tamil film industry. His daughter M K Kanimozhi is a Rajya Sabha MP from Tamil Nadu besides being a poet and a journalist. His son M K Stalin is the working president of DMK and also served as the first Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu from 2009 to 2011.
