Shocking! Body of man found inside trunk in Raipur, probe underway
A disabled man was found dead inside a steel trunk. Investigation reveals the murder was linked to a financial dispute over a land deal.
Raipur: In a shocking case, a 60-year-old physically disabled man was found dead inside a steel trunk at a house in Indraprastha colony, Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
The deceased, identified as Kishore Paikara was a resident of HMT chowk area in Handipara. He was reportedly missing for several days before his body was discovered by police.
Preliminary investigation reveals the murder was linked to a financial dispute over a land deal, which was arranged by the main accused, identified as Ankit Upadhyay. The deceased had sold a plot in Mohani village for Rs 50 lakh, but allegedly received only Rs 30 lakh.
When the deceased began demanding the remaining Rs 20 lakh, especially insisting on Rs 10 lakh immediately, Ankit and his wife allegedly conspired to kill him.
According to the police, the murder appears to have been pre-planned and financially motivated.
Additionally, two property dealers have also been detained for questioning. The police have started an investigation into the matter.
