Denied smoking, Dhaba manager shot in Gurugram, 6 arrested

Gurugram: A Dhaba manager was shot by a man after he reportedly denied them permission to smoke inside his eatery in Gurugram, police said and later arrested six persons in this connection.

The arrested accused were identified as Gaurav, a resident of Basai, Ankit of Wazirpur, Mohit of Khandsa, Mayank alias Monu of Shakti Park, Nitin and Rohit, both residents of Om Nagar colony of Gurugram.

The incident took place at Shri Ram Dhaba near CD chowk on Sohna road late Tuesday night, soon after when a group of youths who were there for dinner started smoking inside.

As per the manager, the accused youths came in a car and after they were denied not to smoke inside the dhaba, one of the accused opened fire at him, which got missed.

Later, the police have lodged an FIR against the accused under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Arms Act.
