New-Delhi: India on Wednesday reported 8,954 fresh Covid cases in the last 24 hours, below the 10,000-mark for fifth day in a row. In the same time span, a total of 267 deaths were reported across the nation, said the Ministry of Health and Family welfare.
With the addition of 267 new deaths, the death toll has reached 4,69,247.
On Tuesday , India reported 6,990 new Covid cases and 190 deaths. And, on Monday (November 29) 8,309 fresh cases and 236 deaths were registered in 24 hours.
The daily rise in the coronavirus cases has been below 20,000 for 54 straight days.
While the active cases have declined to 99, 023 which is less than a lakh after 547 days, informed Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The national Covid-19 recovery rate has been improved to 98.35 percent, the highest since march month.
