Cyclonic storm ‘Fani’ to intensify into severe cyclonic storm in 24 hrs
Vishakhapatnam: The deep depression over the South East Bay of Bengal has intensified into a cyclonic storm. The summer phenomenon, named as ‘Fani’, is set to further intensify into a severe cyclonic storm in the next 24 hours, the Met Department said on Saturday.
The Deep depression is presently lying at 1416 km south-southeast of Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, ANI reported this evening.

Cyclone Fani is expected to reach near Northern Tamil Nadu and Southern Andhra Pradesh by Tuesday evening.
Weather officials have predicted light to moderate rainfall in a few places in Kerala, Northern Tamil Nadu and coastal Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday and Wednesday.
As the sea would be rough, fishermen have been asked not to venture into the sea.
