New Delhi: All the citizens above 18 years of age can register for Covid-19 vaccine shots today at 4 pm as the government will begin the third phase of vaccination drive from May 1.
The Serum Institute of India has fixed the price of Covishield vaccine at Rs 400 per dose for states and Rs 600 per dose for private hospitals whereas Bharat Biotech has fixed the price of Covaxin at Rs 600 per dose to states and Rs 1,200 per dose to private hospitals.
Reportedly, apart from Covishield and Covaxin, Russia’s Sputnik will soon be used in India.
In the third phase registration would be done through the cowin.gov.in website and also through the Aarogya Setu mobile app like the first and the second phase. However, there will be no walk-in registration in this phase.
The second wave of Covid-19 has hit India hard where the number of Covid cases has exceeded the worst phase of the pandemic in 2020.
