Covid Negative Report Mandatory For Train Passengers Travelling To West Bengal

Kolkata: Going by the recent upsurge and high positivity rate, Government of West Bengal has made RT PCR negative report of the passengers mandatory those who are coming from other states to restrict the Covid-19 cases and to break the chain of infection.

The train passengers from other states going to West Bengal should produce RT PCR negative report. The test should have been conducted within 72 hours of departure of train from originating stations.

Passengers of trains originating from Puri, Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur such as 02088 Puri-Howrah Special, 02202 Puri-Howrah Duronto Special, 02838 Puri-Howrah Special, 02074 Bhubaneswar-Howrah Special, 08306 Sambalpur-Howrah Special should have to bring RT PCR negative report with them for hassle free journey in pandemic situation.

Apart form these, passengers travelling through trains, passing through ECoR jurisdiction and providing stoppages in West Bengal area should also have to produce RT PCR negative report both during the boarding of trains and after getting down at the respective destinations.
