Covid-19 vaccination: Thane woman gets jabbed thrice in single day

Thane: A 28-year-old woman from Thane in Maharashtra was jabbed three doses of the Covid-19 vaccine back-to-back on the same day due to dire negligence.

Reportedly, the woman visited the Anand Nagar vaccination centre in Thane to receive the Covid vaccine. After reaching the centre, the health worker injected the victim with three doses of the Covid vaccine one after the other.

The case of negligence came to light after Rupali narrated the incident to her husband who is an employee of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) following which he raised the issue with the local corporator.

Initially, TMC’s medical health officer denied the allegations against the vaccination centre but later admitted after reports of the woman being injected thrice was confirmed by the Mayor, added reports.

The civic body have initiated a probe into the incident and strict action will be taken against those found guilty, assured Thane Mayor.
