Visakhapatnam: A fire broke out on the Coast Guard’s offshore support vessel, Coastal Jaguar, near the Visakhapatnam Port in Andhra Pradesh on Monday.
As many as 29 crew and workers were on board at the time of the incident and 28 have been rescued. One person was said to be missing and a search was on for him.

The Coast Guard’s fast patrol vessel,Rani Rashmoni, which was in the vicinity, rushed to the spot and in coordination with with boats of the Visakhapatnam Port Trust.
Two more Coast Guard patrol ships and a helicopter were also pressed into service for the rescue operations.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. More details awaited.
