CM Hemant Soren wins floor test in Jharkhand Assembly

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren won the floor test in Jharkhand Assembly, said reports on Monday, this happened a few days after he was sworn in.

Reports say that, Soren was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand for the third time. He has however won during a special session of the state assembly which was to test majority. Hemant Soren won the vote of trust with 45 MLAs in his favour. Hemant was sworn in as the 13th Chief Minister of Jharkhand on July 4.

Soren was released from Birsa Munda Jail on June 28. He was jailed in a money laundering case linked to an alleged land scam. He was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in January. Following this Champai Soren had taken over as the CM. Champai Soren had taken oath as the 12th Chief Minister of Jharkhand in on February 2 this year, said reports.
