CM Chandrababu Naidu urges Centre to withdraw Rs 500 and Rs. 2000 notes from circulation
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu urged the Center for the cancellation of notes with dominations of Rs 500 and above
Hyderabad: In a major development, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu urged the Centre to withdraw Rs. 500 and Rs. 2000 notes from circulation.
According to reports, Chandrababu Naidu urged to withdraw Rs 500 notes completely to curb black money. He further called for the promotion of digital political campaigns so as to reduce cash circulation by political parties.
This was also done as an effort to confirm and remind people about the commitment of the Telugu Desham Party (TDP) to transparency and clean politics.
The Chief Minister that the suggested the center should completely stop the circulation of Rs. 500 like it did with the Rs. 1000 denomination notes.
He said that the Telugu Desham Party has always been committed to clean politics and has never promoted black money deposits. The CM urged that the center should ban big notes and promote digital currency. This step will be beneficial in tracing illegal transactions and in catching and uprooting corruption from the base level.
