Choose between chit fund mafia and Chowkidar to vote next time, says PM Modi

Bhawanipatna: Pitching again for the ‘double engine’ government for the development of Odisha, PM Narendra Modi today came down heavily upon the ruling BJD government in  the State during his second election rally at Kalahandi’s Bhawanipatna.

While addressing a massive gathering at Radhakrishna Nagar Modi alleged that the ruling BJD has become a wall between PM-KISAN scheme and farmers of the State preventing the Central benefit reaching to them.

Launching a scathing attack on the Odisha Government, Modi alleged that the last 19 years of rule of Naveen has given the people of Odisha menaces like mining and chit fund scams. Revenue generated from the rich mineral resources have gone to the pockets of mafias in the state whereas it could have been used to make the state prosper, he added.

Taking a potshot at the BJD government, Modi asked the people present at the gathering to make a choice between chit fund or mining mafia and a Chowkidar while casting their votes this time.

By highlighting his government’s contribution to Odisha during last five years of BJP rule at the Centre Modi informed, electrification of 24 lakh houses, construction of pucca houses for 8 lakh people, gas connections to 40 lakh poor households, opening of 1.40 lakh bank accounts and setting up of 50 lakh toilets in the state are some of the key achievements.
