CBSE 10th Result 2023: Acid attack survivor tops Chandigarh blind school

New Delhi: A 15-year-old girl, who is an acid attack survivor has proved that despite her disabilities she can achieve a feat. Due to the acid attack years ago, she has lost her vision. Yet, with her strong determination she has earned success now.  Kafi from Chandigarh’s Institute of Blind has become the CBSE topper of her school in the CBSE 10th result 2023 with an impressive score of 95.20%.

Reportedly, Kafi was merely three years old when she was attacked. Three men, who were their neighbours in Budhana, Hisar had thrown acid on her. As a result, she sustained critical burns on her face and arms. Besides, she lost her eyesight.

Following the incident, her parents tried their best to save their daughter. They spent almost all of their hard-earned money on the treatment of the girl. They took her from hospital to hospital to provide better treatment. However, though her life was saved, she lost her vision and became visually impaired.

On the other hand, the accused persons were arrested and following trial in the Court, they were sentenced to two years. However, after completing their sentence, the attackers are now free.

When it comes to the aim of life Kafi wants to become an IAS officer. She has now topped her school, the Chandigarh blind school with 95.20%

With this achievement, she has become an inspiration for others. She has proved that with strong determination no obstacle can stop a person to achieve his/her goal even though she has any physical deficiency.
