BJP National Council meet today, focus on ‘NaMo’ Again

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to set agenda how to bring back the Narendra Modi government at the Centre this year at a two-day meeting of its National Council starting here from today.

Around 12 thousand delegates from all parts of the country will attend the event at the Ramlila Maidan here, sources said.

BJP President Amit Shah will inaugurate the convention, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the concluding session tomorrow.

The saffron party has invited its all elected members ranging from those in local elections to its MPs besides organisational leaders from across the country for the meeting.

The national council assumes significance in view of the upcoming general elections this year and the meeting will deliberate on the party’s strategy for the polls among other issues.

The Narendra Modi government’s social justice plank with its outreach to Dalits, backward classes and the general category is likely to be a key theme at the meeting.
