Patna: As per reports, BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha may join Congress either on Sunday or Monday. The actor-turned-politician may make the announcement after BJP declares its candidates in Bihar, probably on Saturday.
“It is almost final that Shatrughan ji will join Congress either on March 24 or 25,” an aide said on Friday. When asked about the reason to join Congress, he said: “Congress is a better option as it would provide Shatrughan ji the opportunity to be in national politics.”
Sinha has made it clear that he would contest from Patna Sahib amid reports that BJP wouldn’t give him nomination.
The two-time MP had a fall out with the saffron party after the 2015 Bihar assembly polls. Since then, he has been a vocal critic of BJP on several issues and even attended various events organised by the opposition leaders.
