Biker from Mumbai crosses 27 countries, travels 29,000 kilometers in 136 days

In a recent incident, a 32 year old biker from Mumbai returned home after covering 27 nations, 29,000 kilometers, on bike.

Mumbai: In a recent incident, a 32 year old biker from Mumbai returned home after covering 27 nations on bike. Reliable reports say that the biker completed his tour of 27 countries over a span of 136 days.

Yogesh Alekari, a resident of Navi Mumbai, had initially set off on a journey to London via bike in July. He said that the experience was indeed a thrilling one. Therein, he got the opportunity to cover two continents and 29,000 kilometers.

The biker who rode across 27 countries even added that there were a number of challenges he faced during his bike expeditions. The challenges included numerous terrains, bike breakdowns, and concerns while crossing international borders. He further recalled and shared that the trip took a planning of four years.

Reportedly, the entire solo bike expedition cost him about Rs 25 lakhs. Two lakhs out of which, were covered by the friends of Alekari. The expedition’s motto was to raise awareness about road safety while still promoting the concept of ‘Vasudheva Kutumbakam.’ Speculations have it the Yogesh Alekari is the first India to make a round trip from Mumbai to London via bike.

The countries travelled by Alekari included Iran Greece, North Macedonia, Turkey, Albania, Monteregro, Croatia, Italy, Switzerland, France, UK, and Belgium, to name a few.
