Bihar Lockdown Extended Till May 25: CM Nitish Kumar

Patna: The Bihar  Government on Thursday decided to extend the ongoing lockdown in the state till 25th May as the covid-19 cases are rising.

“Reviewed the ongoing lockdown in Bihar with ministerial colleagues and officials. We can see that the lockdown is having a positive impact. Therefore, we have decided to extend the lockdown in the state for 10 days, from May 16-25, 2021,” tweeted Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Amid the rise in Covid-19 cases, the state government in Bihar had imposed lockdown till 15 May.

Bihar’s COVID-19 death toll went up to 3,503 on Wednesday after 74 people succumbed to the disease, while 9,863 fresh positive cases pushed the tally to 6,22,433, the health department said.
