WATCH: Tragic! Bihar Couple begs for bribe to release son’s body from hospital

Samastipur: An elderly couple is asking for money on the streets of Samastipur, Bihar to release their son’s body from a government hospital.

A hospital staff allegedly demanded Rs 50,000 from the couple to release their son’s body.
The couple is walking around the city pleading to give them money. A video of the same is getting viral on social media.

The father stated that his son had gone missing a few days ago. “My son was missing from past few days. We have just received a call that my son’s body is at Samastipur’s Sadar Hospital.

A hospital staff is demanding Rs 50,000 in exchange for the release of my son’s body. We are poor people, how will we be able to pay this huge amount?” Mahesh Thakur told ANI.

A majority of the hospital staffs are on contractual basis and they frequently don’t receive their salaries on time. There have been a lot of instances where the staff members have taken money from patients’ attendants.

The hospital administration has stated that stringent measures will be taken in this case. Dr SK Chaudhary, a civil surgeon has said that those who are found guilty in this case will be punished. He also said that such incidents are a shame on humanity.
