Bengaluru: A woman was molested while she was out for morning walk in Bengalluru recently. The woman was waiting for her friend in front of a house when a man caught her from behind and sexually assaulted. Reacting to it as the woman protested and screamed the culprit fled from the scene. This was seen in a CCTV footage which has so far gone viral on social media.
The footage was shared by user Kumar Ashutosh Anand to X platform on August 5. Reportedly, Police have lodged a case in this matter after the footage went viral.
The caption of the post reads, “In shocking incident from Bengaluru, Karnataka, a woman was recently molested by an unknown assailant while she was out for a morning walk in Krishna Nagar, Konanakunte area of the city.”
We can see in the video that a woman is waiting in front of a house when a man is approaching her from behind and catching her. He hugs her and molests her. Reacting against this, the woman can be seen trying to free herself from the man while screaming for help. She then manages to run away from the man. Yet, the man runs behind her and grabs her but as the woman screams for help he flees the scene.
Reportedly, the victim woman was waiting for her friend to join her in morning walk in Konanakunte police station limits in Bengaluru on August 3.
As per reports, a case has been registered under Sections 74 (assault or use of criminal force on woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 75 (sexual harassment) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita 2023 in this matter.
