Bengaluru man fined Rs 1.34 lakhs for violating 255 traffic regulations

In a recent incident, a Bengaluru man was fined of Rs 1.34 lakh after he was served a notice of 255 traffic violations.

Bengaluru: In a recent incident, a Bengaluru man was fined of Rs 1.34 lakh after he was served a notice of 255 traffic violations, said reliable reports in this regard. The man has been identified as Elumalai.

Reports from reliable sources said that the violations were accumulated over a period of two years. The details of his violations came up after the Traffic Management Centre (TMC)’s search for vehicles that had a high number of traffic rule violations.

Upon investigation, the police found a scooter that had been registered under Elumalai’s name. Elumalai, who is a daily wage earner, sat with 255 traffic violations against his name. The Bengaluru man with Rs 1.34 lakh traffic fine was then questioned by the police. To which, he responded saying that he was unaware about the ITMS (Intelligent Traffic Management System) cameras installed in the city.

Further, reports also reveals that Elumalai and his son were captured riding the scooter without a helmet, numerous times. Elumalai also revealed that he had purchased the two wheeler for his son who works as a delivery agent.

Reportedly, Elumalai paid an amount of Rs 10,000 as spot fine. He has also settled 20 cases. The police have also seized the scooter, reliable reports confirmed.
