Bengali writer Buddhadeb Guha dies of post-Covid complications

Noted Bengali writer Buddhadeb Guha passed away on Sunday due to post-Covid complications.

As per his family members, he was admitted to a private hospital earlier this month after complain of breathlessness and urinary iEWE infection. In April this year, he was also contracted by Covid-19. He was 85-years-old, and old age  related ailments were also there.

Guha is a renowned writer and his key works include Madhukari, Koeler Kachhe, and Sobinoy Nibedon among others. Apart from that, he was also a successful charted accountant, a classical singer and a proficient illustrator.

Many of his contemporaries grieved his demise. Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, condoled the demise of Guha, describing him as one of the foremost writers in Bengali literature whose death will leave a void.
