Banks Across India To Remain Closed On These Days from March 27 and April 30

Bhubaneswar: All the private and public sector banks across India will remain closed for 14 days between March 27 and April 30, 2021. In terms of working days, banks will remain open for businesses for 19 days.

Hence, it is advisable for the bank customers to schedule their bank visit accordingly from March 27 to April 30.

The days in which banks will remain closed are as follows:

March 27- Last Saturday

March 28- Sunday

March 29- Holi

March 31- Financial year-end holiday

April 1- Bank closing of accounts

April 2- Good Friday

April 4- Sunday

April 10- Second Saturday

April 11- Sunday

April 14- Ambedkar Jayanti

April 18- Sunday

April 21- Ram Navami

April 24- Fourth Saturday

April 25- Sunday

Earlier in this month of March, banks remained closed on the 15th and 16th due to protest by various bank unions against the government’s privatisation plan. The move to privatise two more government-owned banks was announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during Union Budget 2021.
