All the public and private banks of India will remain closed for a total of 21 days in upcoming month of October, as per the holiday list issued by Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
However, you should note that the list of bank holidays might vary from state to state as the regional festivities are celebrated on different days.
So if you have any plan of visiting the bank this month then you should remember to avoid these dates before going.
Out of the 21 holidays, only 14 of them are RBI issued bank leaves. The other seven days are weekend leaves, which encompass Sundays, as well as the second and fourth Saturday of the month.
Normally, the private and public banks remain shut on all national or public holidays and festivals as well as the second and fourth Saturdays, and Sundays of each month.
The RBI divides bank holidays into three categories such as holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday and Banks’ Closing of Accounts days.
