1) He was the classmate of his father
Vajpayee studied Law at the famous DAV College, Kanpur. However, his father Krishna Bihari Vajpayee also expressed his ardent desire to study the same. As a result both father-son attended same class and lived in the same hostel room.

6) Campaigned against himself in Gwalior
During an election campaign in Gwalior in 1984, Vajpayee campaigned against himself and lost as the only election.
