The Assam flood situation continues to become serious as two more people lost their lives in the last 24 hours and 1.37 lakh getting affected in 7 districts
Guwahati: The Assam flood situation continues to become serious as two more people lost their lives in the last 24 hours and 1.37 lakh getting affected in 7 districts.
As per reports, the flood has brought 456 villages to go underwater and 11,933 hectares of farmland getting damaged.
The worst affected district among all of the seven is Golaghat after which Sivasagar and Jorhat follows up. The river water level has also increased above flowing level creating danger.
The government authorities have opened around 125 relief camps and distribution centers to give shelter and supplies to the affected people.
The government and rescue teams are continuing relief operations as the flood situation remains critical.
